It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a lipstick favorites post, and, since the weather is finally warming up(ish) around here, I thought it was the perfect time to discuss the shades I’m wearing this spring!

Some of these are old favorites that I’ve shared several times, but a few are new loves.

If you’ve read this blog for long, you know I never apply lipstick without first applying MAC’s Prep + Prime Lip. I have two of these at all times: one for my purse, and one to keep at home. I’ve worn it for years and swear by it – it’s the perfect primer for every lipstick, especially since I have an affinity for inexpensive brands.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Sangria: One of my old favorites. I’ve worn this shade for a couple of years and it continues to be a favorite. Bite’s lipsticks are hydrating and stay in place all day.

NYX Pin-Up Pout Lipstick in Bombshell: Another product I’ve mentioned on here numerous times. It’s a bold color, but still work-appropriate. And it’s under $10!

Tarte Drench Lip Splash Lipstick in Hey Sailor: Dorit wore this shade on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and, while she’s not likable, she did rock the hell out of this lipstick. I loved it so much that I went down an hours-long rabbit hole to find the product.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Backtalk and Frenemy: Urban Decay lipsticks are quickly becoming my favorites. They’re relatively inexpensive and have great quality and color payoff. If you’re more of a neutral lipstick fan, Backtalk is soft mauve shade. Frenemy is not for the faint of heart: it’s a shimmery hot pink!

MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy and Girl About Town: MAC is another lipstick go-to for me, and these two shades could not be more opposite. Velvet Teddy is a nude lipstick with brown undertones, while Girl About Town is another vibrant pink. Girl About Town has been a makeup bag staple for years!

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick in Secret Salma: Another long-time favorite. This is by far the priciest lipstick of the bunch, but it’s a great formula, and it’s the perfect nude pink.

Physician’s Formula Healthy Lip Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Tu-Lip: I have still not been able to find these in-store, but Cara talks so highly of this product! The color looks great on her and I’m hoping to pull it off as well. Plus they’re only $7!

LipSense in Strawberry Shortcake: April from Smidge of This blog sent me a LipSense shade to try. Honestly, I had no desire to try LipSense because I didn’t want to stop wearing all of my other beloved shades. She alleviated my fears and told me I could still use my products. I’ll admit that this formula takes some getting used to (I’m not normally a gloss person!), but, wow! The staying power is unparalleled. It does not budge until you use the remover at the end of the day. Strawberry Shortcake is a pretty, coral pink that I know I’ll be wearing all spring and summer long. If you’re interested in trying it, check out April’s (Smooch by April) Instagram page!
